Tis the season to Fundraise for Pregnancy Sickness Support

“It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas…” For many, this season brings joy, celebrations, and togetherness—crisp frosty walks, school nativities, the warm glow of festive lights, and the aroma of mulled spices.

But for those enduring Hyperemesis Gravidarum (HG), the festive season can feel incredibly isolating.

The things many cherish about Christmas—delicious meals, cosy gatherings, and festive scents—become unbearable for HG sufferers. Intense nausea, severe food aversions, and smell triggers make Christmas dinners daunting, while the simple act of moving can worsen relentless nausea and fatigue. Even beloved traditions like watching Christmas movies might be impossible if screens provoke sickness.

For HG sufferers, Christmas may be a quiet battle: managing debilitating symptoms, navigating overstretched NHS services during reduced holiday hours, and enduring the guilt of not being able to create magical moments for loved ones. It’s a time of immense struggle, often faced in silence, as they strive to ensure others can enjoy the festivities.

This year, our helplines will experience a surge in calls as we continue to support HG sufferers, their families, and healthcare professionals. To date, our team has provided vital assistance to over 2,500 individuals, and the need for our services grows every day.

Can you help us “deck the halls” with hope for those affected by HG?

This Christmas, we invite you to download our festive fundraising guide, packed with fun, meaningful, and simple ideas to help raise the vital funds needed to keep our helplines running. Together, we can bring comfort, support, and brighter days to those facing HG this holiday season.

Thank you for helping us make a difference. Wishing you and your loved ones a joyful holiday season!
