This CPD Accredited session for GPs with a focus on Hyperemesis Gravidarum (HG) in Primary Care, this dynamic session will not only bring to life the reality of HG but will equip you with the most up-to-date knowledge about diagnosis, treatment and the latest research which shines a light on Scientists’ understanding of the cause of HG.
With special guest speaker, HG expert and member of Pregnancy Sickness Support’s Medical Advisory Board, Dr Yusra Kahn.

This course is CPD Accredited.
This engaging and interactive session will include a talk from the fabulous Dr Yusra Kahn, GP Partner, member of our Medical Advisory Board and HG expert, alongside members of the Pregnancy Sickness Support Team. The session will also provide insight and information about the services our charity offers.
By the end of this 3-hour online session, you will understand:
- The spectrum of pregnancy sickness
- How Hyperemesis Gravidarum (HG) is diagnosed and treated
- The impact of HG on women’s physical and mental health
- The vital role GPs and other primary care professionals play in supporting women with HG
- The importance of compassionate care and empathy when working with HG sufferers
- How to signpost sufferers to the support available from PSS and beyond
A CPD certificate of completion will be sent to all attendees.

This 2 hour training is an Introduction to Hyperemesis for Counsellors which offers insight into what HG is, how HG impacts on sufferers’ physical and mental health both during and after pregnancy, along with common themes that emerge with this client group.
Ideal for Counsellors or other Professionals working within the perinatal mental health space who would like to develop their knowledge around HG.
