Our Counselling Terms & Conditions

Before completing our counselling referral form, please take a moment to read our Terms and Conditions. These outline key information about our service, including what to expect and your responsibilities as a client.

By accessing or using Pregnancy Sickness Support’s counselling service, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, you should not proceed with the referral or use the service.

These Terms and Conditions were last updated in February 2025 and may be subject to change.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Where possible, we will provide notice of significant changes.

  • You confirm that you are over the age of 18.
  • You reside in the UK, and all your counselling sessions will take place while you are in the UK.
  • You understand that this counselling service is condition-specific and is only suitable for individuals who are currently experiencing, or have previously experienced, pregnancy sickness or Hyperemesis Gravidarum (HG).
  • If Pregnancy Sickness Support determines that our service is not suitable for your needs, alternative support may be required. Where possible, we will assist you in identifying appropriate support options.
  • You understand that confidentiality may be broken if there is a disclosure of harm to yourself or others, risk to vulnerable children or adults, or disclosure of terrorism, drug trafficking, or money laundering.
  • You acknowledge the commitment required for therapy. Counselling is most effective when attended regularly, allowing a therapeutic relationship to develop between you and your counsellor.
  • You agree to provide a personal email address and telephone number so we can contact you in the event of a technical issue.
  • In the case of an emergency, you permit your counsellor to contact your GP or emergency services (999). (GP details will be requested below)
  • You acknowledge that your counsellor attends regular supervision with a qualified supervisor per their professional code of ethics.
  • You will, as far as possible, ensure that you receive your therapy call or online session in a private and uninterrupted space. Your counsellor will also conduct sessions in a private and confidential setting.
