Fundraising Terms and Conditions 2025

Participation

If your application is accepted, you will also need to agree to and follow the event organiser’s rules and/or terms and conditions. Please review these carefully, as they outline the event organiser’s responsibilities and liabilities to you and vice versa. Note that Pregnancy Sickness Support is not responsible for organising or managing the event, and therefore we are not liable for any injury, damage, or loss you may suffer while participating in or related to the event.

Participation in this event is at your own risk.

Pregnancy Sickness Support will not be liable for any injury or illness resulting from your participation. If you receive a charity place from Pregnancy Sickness Support, you agree to undertake appropriate training and consult your doctor if you have any health or injury concerns. If you are unable to participate due to injury or another issue, you must inform Pregnancy Sickness Support as soon as possible so that your place can be cancelled.

If you withdraw after the event entry deadline (which, unless otherwise communicated by Pregnancy Sickness Support, is the point at which you complete your official registration with the event organisers), you may be held accountable for your fundraising commitment.

Pregnancy Sickness Support reserves the right to revoke race places in exceptional circumstances. If your application is successful, your race place may be contingent on the event taking place as planned by the event organiser. The event date, format, and capacity may change due to government guidance, social distancing restrictions, or other reasons.

The event may be cancelled due to government guidance, Pregnancy Sickness Support will not be responsible. If your race place is affected by such changes, the event organiser and/or Pregnancy Sickness Support will contact you regarding your place. If you are granted a Pregnancy Sickness Support charity place, please note this place is non-transferable. Any attempt to transfer your place may result in forfeiture of the place.

Fundraising

You will make your best efforts to raise funds for Pregnancy Sickness Support in connection with your participation in the event, aiming to meet or exceed the specified fundraising target if you accept a Charity Place. You understand that Gift Aid doesn’t count towards your fundraising target. Please note that all funds raised in connection with the event are held in trust for Pregnancy Sickness Support, and you have a legal obligation to ensure all sponsorship monies/donations received in connection with the event are paid to us. We ask that you do this promptly, and in any case within two months of the event date completion. Further details on how to submit these funds can be found in the “Paying money in” section of the Pregnancy Sickness Support website.

Communication

You will engage with our fundraising support offering either via WhatsApp, phone or email at least once a month throughout your fundraising journey. This support is designed to help you achieve your fundraising targets and help the charity assist promptly in the event of issues arising with your fundraising. You will endeavour to respond to a direct communication to you within one working week. Pregnancy Sickness Support reserves the right to revoke race places in instances of a repeat breach of our communication terms.
