Post HG in Ethnic Minority Communities Virtual Meet-up & Chat – 19th May 2025
About This Session
Hyperemesis Gravidarum (HG) can affect anyone, but we know that women from ethnic minority communities often face unique challenges when navigating healthcare systems and accessing support. This virtual meet-up is specifically for mothers from Black, Asian, and other ethnic minority backgrounds who have experienced HG.
Led by a member of the Pregnancy Sickness Support HQ Team, this one-hour session provides a safe and welcoming space to discuss the impact of HG within the context of cultural, social, and systemic factors, and to connect with others who share similar experiences.
Who Is This For?
This session is open to mothers from ethnic minority backgrounds who have experienced HG and want to connect, share insights, and explore solutions to common challenges in a supportive environment.
What to Expect
- A small group setting with up to 10 participants.
- A discussion facilitated by a member of the PSS HQ Team.
- A culturally sensitive and inclusive space to share experiences and perspectives.
Why Join?
The experience of HG can be further complicated by cultural expectations, stigma, or systemic inequalities. This session aims to provide understanding, solidarity, and practical advice for those navigating these additional challenges.
